Background:

Derek Dixon is an entrepreneur and development professional with a background spanning construction, business development, project origination, and public-private collaboration. His experience includes construction-related sales and business development, entrepreneurship, technology ventures, and the development of complex projects requiring coordination among municipalities, operators, design and construction teams, financial advisors, legal counsel, and other institutional partners. He brings a practical, execution-focused approach to identifying opportunities, assembling the right stakeholders, and advancing projects from concept toward development and financing.

Current Initiatives:

Derek is currently leading development of the proposed Murrieta Sports Village, a regional sports and recreation destination in Southwest Riverside County, California. Originally conceived as a two-sheet ice facility, the project has expanded into a broader sports village concept incorporating ice sports, tournament-capable outdoor multi-sport fields, training, hospitality, recreation, and community uses. His work includes municipal coordination, site strategy, operator and programming relationships, feasibility and financial planning, capital-stack development, and coordination with design, construction, legal, and financing partners.

Derek is also involved in the development of ConstructAI, a technology platform focused on improving planning, sourcing, and execution within the construction industry. Through Harvey & Kin, he is expanding his development and origination work around sports, recreation, civic, infrastructure, and destination-oriented projects..
